Stage Presence
How does one inhabit the space in a simple way, how does one move in a space with sobriety. The idea is to find one's 'neutral' state, one's 'ground zero' and from this place to explore movement potential. This workshop is a time to center and ground oneself, to visit or revisit the fundamentals of stage presence. This workshop is aimed at all those that stand in front of an audience, as performers, musicians but also as public speakers in the context of their profession.
Ensemble work or 'chorus' work
One moves in space alone, and one moves in space with others. How do we move collectively ? Just like a singing choir, we will explore the mechanisms of moving as one entity . Walking together, with no designated leader, becoming the other and allowing another to become us. This work calls upon our collective intelligence. Learning to listen and be aware of our living environment, on stage or in life.
Larvar masks
Larvar masks are inspired from traditional carnaval masks. They are fabulous working tools as they enable us to discover the full potential of body language. In the communication sciences, we have known for a long time that non-verbal expression plays a central role in communication! Larvar masks are an original way to practice and explore expressing yourself through the body.
These workshops are taught by Mélanie Perol.
Mélanie is trained in physical theatre through the Jacques Lecoq pedagogy and she is also trained in circus skills. She has also taken a particular interest in corpereal mime and movement based practices that enable better body awareness.
